De naam Niels Geusebroek is allang geen onbekende meer in het Nederlandse muzieklandschap. De band Silkstone, het programma The Voice Of Holland, de hardstylehit Year Of Summer…

Met het album Lines leverde Niels nog een ‘ambachtelijke singer-songwriter-plaat’ af, zegt hij zelf. Mooie nummers van de-man-met-de-gitaar, in elk liedje hoorde je zijn getokkel.

In een uitverkochte Heineken Music Hall presenteerde Nielson – geheel onverwachts – zijn album ‘Weet je wat het is’ aan al zijn fans. Het is Nielsons tweede album sinds zijn doorbraak.

Drie gewone jongens, maar met een heel bijzonder bandje. Opgericht door gitarist/songwriter Jelle de Valk en drummer Jan Jaap Breukelman heeft De Nieuwe Lichting in 2012 en 2013 de tijd genomen om een vaste band te vormen.
